Purpose

Why this policy exists

This page explains the consent model used for SMS communications, aligned with U.S. requirements such as TCPA, CTIA guidance, and common carrier expectations.

Consent disclosure

What users agree to

By providing a phone number and opting in, the user expressly consents to receive SMS messages from OKUL or the business using OKUL for purposes such as appointment confirmations, service updates, follow‑ups, and customer support.

Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

Opt‑in

How consent is collected

  • Checking an unchecked SMS consent checkbox on a web form
  • Explicit verbal consent during a phone call (recorded and logged)
  • Keyword-based opt-in (for example, texting START)

Pre‑checked boxes are not permitted.

Sample checkbox copy

“I agree to receive SMS messages from OKUL (or the business using OKUL) regarding my inquiry, appointments, or services. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe. Reply HELP for help.”

Scope limitations

Messages must remain within the scope of the original consent given by the user.

Opt‑out

How users stop messages

Users may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any message. After opting out, no further SMS messages will be sent unless the user opts in again.

Users may reply HELP to receive information about the sender and contact details.
